About the Farm
Painted Springs Farm was founded by the Springs family in the early 1980's. Tom Springs purchased farmland for his wife, Alyssa Springs, to pursue her dream of breeding and raising quality Paint horses.
Mrs. Springs purchased her first horse in 1981, a lively colt named Rustic Charm. The colt cost $5,000 and was said to be no-good for the show ring. Determined, Alyssa Springs hired the best trainer she could find, refusing to give up on her new colt. Some long 3 years later, Rustic Charm had become a dashing five-year-old stallion and stormed the show world, succeeding greatly at Show Jumping.
Since then, Painted Springs has stayed true to their desire for one-of-a-kind Paint horses. However, they have broadened their horizons and opened up their doors to some non-Paint breeds as well.
Recently added to the stable was a training program for others to see the stables and learn from the trainers in which the stable has.
